Here is my final project for my 2D Design class. I freaking love how it turned out and I"m so sorry I couldn't get a better picture of it. The actual drawing looks so much better but since my iPod camera is stupid and doesn't get much detail it doesn't look that good. There is green in there too but you can't really see it. The green is on the ribbons and parts of the tree. I'm hoping that when I get a real camera (I don't consider my iPod camera to be a real camera) I can take higher quality picture of this cause I hate the quality of this picture.
Materials: 7B Graphic Pencil Black, Red, and Green Acrylic paint
I like the ideas here. The cute and innocent versus the dark theme. I like the contrast of the strong bright red versus the muted colours of the rest of the drawing. This enhances the cute versus dark contrast even more.
One or two things could really make this image fantastic. You need to work on shadows. The glow of the fire would make each of the items have a pretty dark shadow. I would also like to see more colour contrast. Make your shadows really dark, and your highlights brighter.
I wouldn't really change anything else, it's an eyecatching image that just needs a little tweak Well done
This is very good! I love the idea and the concept. And you have a good perspective of light and darkness. The blood slatters make the picture stick out even more. The only problem that I have with it is trying to identify the materials in the picture. For example the thing to the right of the girl. I want to say that's a horse, but I can't say. I'm not saying this is a bad thing. You said the picture was badly taken, so i can't say about that...
Other than that, everything on this picture looks right. You should get an A+ in that class!! I really mean it.
